FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TEST APPROVAL FOR KOREAN NAVY DIVING BELL

DRASS confirms that Factory Acceptance Test for the latest completed diving bell SN 16458 for the Korean Navy has been successfully completed with Korean Register certification.
This bottom mating 6m3 diving bell has been successfully certified, delivered, installed and commissioned on several diving support vessels together with the standard Drass 100 Series saturation diving system. It is designed to operate to a depth of up to 300 msw.

In 2018 DRASS was awarded the Korean Navy contract to supply an advanced diving system for the new Submarine Rescue Ship ASR-II. The project includes the design, manufacture and installation of the complete deep diving system, and is being implemented in collaboration with the local partner Dongil Shipyard. The ASR-II ship is being constructed by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), one of the 5 largest shipyards in the world with an extensive record of military and offshore vessels. DRASS is the preferred supplier of the Korean Government and DSME for diving and submarine rescue equipment, and a returning partner after the successful delivery of ATS-II rescue ship for the Korean Navy in 2016 and, prior to that, for the ASR21, ATS1 and ASR58 rescue ships for the Korean Maritime Police.
