The Kick-Off Meeting between DRASS and Mariotti for the Italian Navy’s Submarine Rescue System (for special and diving operations – SDO-SuRS project) took place last week. Held in Genoa at the Mariotti Shipyard headquarters, this first official meeting allowed representatives from DRASS, the Shipyard and Classification Society to introduce everyone to the project and discuss the roles and responsibilities of each team member. The meeting established common goals, methods, base elements of the project and associated planning activities.
SDO-SuRS project represents the most complete and technologically advanced submarine intervention and submarine rescue unit in the world, and DRASS is proud to be carrying this initiative forward.
