On June 6th, DRASS had the pleasure of hosting three foreign naval delegations led by Italian Navy Capt. Salvatore Dimonopoli, head of the Italian Navy liaison office at BAAINBw (German military procurement agency) in Koblenz, Germany. Heading each respective navy delegation at DRASS headquarters in Livorno was: RADM Antonio Mateus of the Portuguese Navy, RADM Vasileios Vasilogiannakopoulos of the Hellenic Navy, and DirBAAINBw Jorg Jahrig of the BAAINBw.
An introduction to DRASS’ historical archives, chronicling over a century of naval innovations and associated world records, preceded a tour of DRASS’ extensive manufacturing facilities where delegations had the opportunity to observe the production teams at work on defence crafts and rescue capsules currently in production for various navies.
