SUBMARINE RESCUE OPS TRAINING

SUBMARINE RESCUE OPS TRAINING

As part of DRASS’ contract with the Italian Navy for a next-generation Submarine Rescue System, DRASS has been delivering specialized training to COMSUBIN, the Navy’s SMER (Submarine Rescue & Escape) professionals.
Over the past six weeks, intensive classroom sessions have been held at DRASS headquarters, providing technical knowledge to SMER operators on the new deployable submarine rescue systems. This Submarine Rescue Ops training program is specifically designed for various COMSUBIN roles including deployable system supervisors, divers, specialist operators, and technical support personnel.
Maintenance training is now in progress, with theoretical classes on all courses set to conclude by the end of September before hands-on training commences on the rescue deployable system.
DRASS Deployable Submarine Rescue Capsule and Ventilation System, designed and produced in-house, is an innovative solution lauded for its modularity and rapid deployability that enables swift response to submarine emergencies over long distances.
