Last Breath exclusive interviews

With Focus Features’ highly anticipated subsea thriller Last Breath (2025) set for nationwide release in the US and UK on February 28, we are thrilled to present the first in a series of exclusive interviews.

Filmed on location during production, this behind-the-scenes feature offers insights from the film’s producers and subsea professionals as they share their experiences working with DRASS’ D-ONE commercial diving helmet.

In this installment, we sit down with film producer Dan Clifton to explore why D-ONE was selected for its pivotal role in the film.

Here we sit down with saturation diver and dive technician Brett Murray who played a key role in bringing the film’s intense underwater sequences to life.

Brett shares his first-hand experience working with the D-ONE commercial diving helmet, explaining how its cutting-edge technology was essential to the production and why “there would be no film without it.”

Here in the third installment of an exclusive interview series, we sit with Co-Producer David Brooks on the set of Hollywood’s true-story-inspired subsea thriller Last Breath. We talk ‘sex appeal’ and learn why, during wet trials, the D-ONE diving helmet blew the other systems out of the water.

Filmed on set, our behind-the-scenes series continues with acclaimed diving specialist Abigail Borg of Malta Underwater Film Studios whose extensive experience in cast direction, underwater stunts, rigging, and technical coordination was pivotal to the making of Last Breath (2025). Last Breath marks Abigail’s 115th film project to date, as she leads a team of 50 dive professionals year-round on major productions, with recent roles including Jurassic World: Dominion (2022), Napoleon (2023), and The Dive (2023).

Here Abigail shares her experience working with the D-ONE commercial diving helmet and its contribution to the production.
