In Livorno on October 22, 2024, at the suggestive sea-view Palazzo Pancaldi, DRASS hosted its first Techport event. Characterized by a practical and in-depth approach, this specialized event explored the methodology technology and solutions for monitoring critical infrastructures subsea with key topics including Underwater Situation Awareness and Underwater Drone Swarming. Bringing together leading experts and innovators across the Navy, industry and academia, the event showcased a methodological approach for the management of underwater technological trajectories, created through DRASS’ proprietary Techport software. Drass and its partner companies presented their vision for the future of the underwater domain and the associated technologies they are developing to meet industry objectives. Among the many eminent guests from the Navy, academia and industry, DRASS had the honor of hosting Admiral Berutti Bergotto, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy, and Admiral Cristiano Nervi, Director of PNS (Polo Nazionale della Dimensione Subacquea), Italy’s National Underwater Domain Hub. As guest speakers, Admiral Berutti Bergotto and Admiral Cristiano Nervi provided invaluable insights on the overall direction of the Italian Navy, opening a fruitful debate with the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in attendance. Also participating as event speakers, DRASS welcomed Admiral Liborio Palombella of Delphi Consulting, Engineer Valerio Imbriolo of Drass, Dr. Andrea Masini – CEO of FlySight, Dr. Saba – Vice President of ELESIA, Engineer Luca Biasci – Drass, Michele Cocco – CEO of Edgelab srl, Roberto Longo, CEO of Starlight Italia, Federico Mazzitelli – Engineer in Robotic and Control Systems of Aitronik, and Andrea Scuppa, Head of Defence Division of Intecs.
