Marius

DIVING BELL TEAM LEADER

Hello my name is Marius and I come from Romania. I started working with Drass 4 years ago. Being a pipe fitter I have been assigned from the very beginning to the assembly of the diving bell, and since then I have seen quite a few of them, now I am working on the 7th bell. Did you know that to insulate a diving bell you need to apply 7 layers of resin with a special procedure of different compositions, temperatures and drying periods. This will create an elastic cover which will give the bell the proper thermal balance and will also withstand the expansion of the metal vessel under pressure. My team applies the insulation in 4 weeks and after that the bell is bulletproof (and DNV approved as well). Are Drass the only ones owning this special procedure? Obviously.
